Pelican Driving Instructor Training is an ORDIT registered driving instructor training establishment since 1982. With a pass rate of over double the national average, our instructor training courses attract drivers from all over the country. Our trainers are experienced and highly qualified to give you the best training.
The ORDIT register is supervised by the Driving Standards Agency. All our trainers are periodically inspected to ensure that you receive high quality, up to date training.
How will your training be structured?
Driving instructor training is conducted on a one to one basis and is charged at an hourly rate. You can train around your current job on a part time basis at £30.00 per hour, there is a discount for block bookings. Alternatively you can train more intensely, local accommodation is available for residential training. We offer half day sessions or to make a bigger impact try our 1, 2 or 3 day courses at our training premises in Sheffield which start at £160.00.
Do you need rescue or remedial training?
If you have had insufficient or unsatisfactory training elsewhere we can help you. Are you on your last exam attempt and need professional advice and training ? We pride ourselves in providing Friendly, Honest and Reliable one to one training. We have vast amounts of experience in the ADI training Industry to help you to become a driving instructor. We find our 1,2 or 3 days courses are invaluable to prepare for your part 3 exam. Over the years we have helped hundreds of PDI clients who were struggling with their part 3 exam. We advise an assessment session so we can advise you and tailor a suitable course to suit your needs.
Pelican Driving Instructor Training is headed by Malcolm Bailey BA [Driver education]. Malcolm is a Grade 6 driving instructor [highest grade] and holder of The Diploma in Driving Instruction and the Cardington Special Driving Test [grade A]. He has passed The Institute of Advanced Motorists and ROSPA driving tests at gold level and is now an Advanced Driving Examiner for the DIAmond driving test. Malcolm specialises in training 'part three' level students and is responsible for maintaining the standards of the driving instructor training team.
Kath Bailey is responsible for the induction and part I of the ADI examinations. A Grade 6 Driving Instructor and holder of The Diploma in Driving Instruction Kath has passed the RoADA and Institute of Advanced Motorists advanced driving tests. She has 30 years experience in the driving instruction training industry.
Justine Dobson conducts training for ADI part 2 & 3 Examinations, she is a holder of the Diploma in Driving Instruction, a Diamond Advanced Driving Examiner, Diamond Special Instructor, DSA Fleet Registered Instructor, DATT Taxi Trainer.
