>>> Driver Assessment

Driver AssessmentWe provide driver assessments as a stand alone service, or as an integrated part of a Driver Training Programme.

These sessions are where the competence of the driver is measured, problems identified and prioritised in order of risk. The methodologies used are proven and produce an accurate picture of driver ability.

An accompanied 'on the road' assessment is the most effective method of measuring a drivers ability, attitude and the way they apply their knowledge. It is achieved through observation and by careful questioning. This form of assessment is carried out under 'real time' driving conditions by specialist trainers. A limited amount of time is included for corrective training.

The limitation of other forms of assessment

We do not recommend the use of questionnaires whether paper based, on CD ROM on -line or in other formats especially those which rely solely on information provided by the driver. Even the most comprehensive of questionnaires is likely to generate a superficial response and is of limited value without the input from an experienced trainer who is able to probe, test and interpret the answers given.

For training to be successful it has to be capable of changing behaviour and attitudes. The focus of the assessment is to establish existing behaviour and attitudes in addition to driving ability. This can only be achieved with any degree of precision through human interaction. Without an accurate assessment, the basis on which further training decisions are made can be flawed.
